Benefit of barefoot walking

Our cavemen ancestors walked on sand, grass, wood & pebbles . And we wear shoes all the time so miss the sensory experience which they feel in their life, recent study shown the benefit of barefoot walk but in indian culture we already prefer barefoot walking ,as we all  heard that go barefoot in kitchens, temple, in house etc so this barefoot walking is not new for indians and recent researches also prove the benefit of bare foot walking, so here i am sharing some benefits of barefoot walking.


1- It improve posture of body

     A recent study has shown that shoes having negative effects on our feet, due to long time wearing of shoes it results weakness of our foot muscles which change the biomechanics of ankle joint, knee joint that leads bad posture of body and cause back pain, neck pain ,knee pain so walk barefoot regularly to maintain good posture.

2- It boost energy level

    Some practitioner believe that electron present in the earth help to increase our immune system and increase oxygen level, walking bare foot also known as earthing, means walking barefoot on soil, grass, sand or any natural surface give earthing to body and boost energy level.

3- It help to control blood pressure

    Barefoot walking on grass, sand stimulate relaxation which results decreasing the stress level and help to control blood pressure.

4- It help to reduce chronic pain

     When you walk barefoot it strengthen the foot muscles and reduce the stress on knee muscles, back muscle and help to reduce chronic pain of knee, back, neck & headache.

5- It helps to cure insomnia

     A study in pubmed revealed that bare foot walking  induces relaxation, this study also shown that people who had been exposed to grounding have better sleep at night when compared with those who did not walk bare foot regularly.
              The reason behind that barefoot walking help to stabilize circadian rhythm, which is the first step to better sleep.


NOTE :- Person who having diabetes please take care before barefoot walk to prevent any injury.
